Liz Welby ‘Discover Mono-printing’ workshop

The process of monoprinting dates back to the early 1600’s and has been explored by artists as diverse as Rembrandt and Edgar Degas. The processes combine drawing and painting techniques, with a lovely spontaneity.
We will explore single and multiple layered monoprints, painted monoprints and a further experimental process.
All necessary pieces of equipment and materials will be provided, but please bring along the following items:
- a range of images, i.e drawings and photos at A5/4 to develop
- a large pale plate or a flat palette
- a pencil case
- an apron
