Stories on the Wind… Newsletter June 2019

More about the Artist:

Anna lived in Derbyshire for many years, but following her recent move to Cumbria we now see a new influence at work in her joyful landscapes.
She uses oil, acrylic and mixed media to weave narratives which reflect her surroundings. Her paintings are busy, colourful and often touched by a tender humour.

‘Stories on the Wind’ is a collection of paintings that reflect my affection and fascination with the landscape and the life held within it. The title refers to the myriad creatures and human figures, each with their tale to tell within the greater picture.
Sketching and painting outside play an important part in my creativity. I do not use this as an accurate visual record, but rather as a focus to steady myself and to absorb the spirit of what I am experiencing. It is not until I return to the studio that my imaginative memory emerges’.

You can meet Anna on Saturday June 15th from 10am-3pm. Canapés and wine will be available from 12:00pm.
